The Mac Circus Comes to Town

Today, the annual Macworld Expo begins in San Francisco, and TripIt will be exhibiting in the Mobile Apps Showcase at the event. We're looking forward to meeting lots of Apple enthusiasts, showing people all the awesome things you can do with our free iPhone app, and talking shop with developers about TripIt's open API.

As we prepared for the event yesterday, we were fortunate to have a very interesting visitor. Philip Michaels, executive editor at Macworld Magazine, spent some time with our team talking about the future of mobile apps. Inspiring stuff!

The Macworld Expo is also a great time to see which gadgets tech-savvy media folks are using for their travel to San Francisco. Here are a couple of good lists we've seen so far.

• Dave Greenbaum at The Apple Blog lists all the travel apps he's currently using, including a bunch of neat San Francisco apps that we didn't know about.

• Michael Rose at TUAW (The Unofficial Apple Weblog) opens up his suitcase and shows readers all the gear and apps he's bringing to town. This is a great article for those who want to geek out a little bit - there is some very cool stuff in that suitcase!

And last but not least we're excited to wrap up our busy day Thursday by unwinding at the Best App Ever awards party in downtown San Francisco. Here's hoping we bring home the "Oscar" for TripIt!
