Improved TripIt maps and LinkedIn app

We’ve just made some cool updates to TripIt maps and our app on LinkedIn!

Maps

The maps that are automatically generated in your TripIt itinerary just got smarter. Now, you can edit the maps to reflect the destination of your choice, rather than being limited to a map of your hotel. This is especially useful for travelers who have to attend a meeting or other event when they arrive at their destination, before checking in to their hotel. 

And, if you prefer not to have maps automatically added to your itinerary, you can now turn them off. Just go to the “About you” section in your TripIt account settings, and opt out of “Auto-maps and directions” in the “Travel preferences" section.

TripIt app on LinkedIn

We’ve updated our app on LinkedIn to make it easy to see how many people in your network are using My Travel to share trip plans and connect on the road. There are also more trip management tools in the app now. Use the new Options menu in the app to edit trip details, delete trips or add plans.
