We want to give a shout out to National Train Day, which is this Saturday May 9. Train Day is dedicated to spreading the love when it comes to rail travel. Trains are a classic way to travel, often embraced by those for whom the journey is as important as the destination. On a less romantic note, they’re also energy efficient, and reduce our dependence on oil. According to National Train Day, intercity rail travel uses about 20 percent less energy per passenger mile than car or air travel.
