Will Aldrich Joins TripIt as VP Product

Hiring the right people is one of the hardest tasks in building a new company.  When you get it wrong, it hurts more than leaving a position vacant, but when you get it right, it’s like magic.  On that note, I’m pleased to announce that Will Aldrich, a Yahoo! alumnus, has joined the team as Vice President, Product.  With more than 12 years of product development leadership, Will is definitely a product wizard.

At Yahoo!, Will was Sr. Director of Product responsible the Profiles, Mash and Photos teams.  Prior to Yahoo!, Will co-founded and ran product for vVault (now part of Biscom) and spend 3 years at CNET.  Will brings both the passion and the experience to help TripIt drive the product forward even faster.

One of the best parts of adding Will to the team is that it frees up TripIt co-founder Scott Hintz to focus squarely on two critical initiatives - developing our partnership program and growing our revenue base.  As someone who has worked with Scott for nearly 8 years, I know from experience that Scott brings double barrel pop to these exciting opportunities as Vice President, Business Development.
